The First Crack

A random bootcamp. Walked past a colleague’s desk and said, “How about it?” We did it, got some great results, but they didn’t last.

2014

Enterprise Fitness

After years of enjoying the Melbourne lifestyle, the diet wasn’t great and it was time to do something about it. I joined Enterprise Fitness in Richmond. It wasn’t cheap, but I wanted results. That’s where I met Jared. We only trained together for six months, but when you find a coach who fits your personality, you keep that relationship.

2020

Building Habits

Between 2014 and 2020, I worked with a few trainers — in parks, in gyms, wherever worked. It wasn’t really a period of big results, but it was a period of habit building. I paid the money, so I showed up. Then lockdowns hit. Gym closures, restrictions… and somehow that became the thing that got my groove back. What else were you supposed to do? I reconnected with Jared while collaborating on content for social enterprise Care To Compare, and I started using those workouts again.

2021

Commitment

It was time to get serious. I committed to regular training with Jared again and built consistency that actually lasted.

2026

Why not Train with me?

After years of training, Jared started admiring the commitment and dedication I’d built. We began calling things what they really were — our weekly sessions had become mental fitness sessions as much as physical ones. Yes, I trained hard, but it also became a space to unpack life and work across two very different worlds. Then came the comment: “Why not?” He said I had the attitude to become a great coach for others too.
